The days are getting longer and the outside world is becoming enticing once again. With the “winter” hibernation over and summer right around the corner, there’s no doubt that people are looking for fun things to do. Of course, you don’t have to travel far to have a good time. See what you and your family can do to get outside and enjoy the warm weather!
If you’re in Fresno, grab your bike, grab your recyclable bag, and hit up the Farmer’s Market! Both Fresno markets are mid-week: The Market on Kern is every Wednesday afternoon or the River Park Farmers Market every Tuesday evening! Friday evening Old Town Clovis hosts a bustling Farmers Market filled with live music and smiling faces! These markets are packed full with local vendors and farmers, as well as your neighbors and community, and there’s always something for everyone. Enjoy the fresh air, sunny skies, and literal fruits of living in the valley and experience what “Farm to Table” really means!
May is bike month and there’s no better way to celebrate than to get out and move, and luckily some of our Bonadelle Neighborhoods’ communities are next to some amazing bike paths. Our Canyon Creek neighborhood is situated right next to a beautiful, landscaped walking trail that leads directly to a nearby park. Our Nuovo Terraces neighborhood is also perfectly situated for biking; just blocks away from the Clovis Old Town Trail, one of the most popular spots for biking! Both of these trails are a good distance away from the main roads so that the entire family can join and be safe while doing so!
For our competitive cyclists, Central Valley Bike Month is doing their annual Million Mile Challenge. The goal is, collectively, to get in 1 million miles by May 30th. There are a series of prizes and goals to meet as well, visit cvbikemonth.com for more information. Good luck, and be safe!
Take me out to the ball game! What’s summer without baseball? Luckily, if you’re looking for some good ol’ fashioned American fun, come out to Chukchansi Park and root on our Grizzlies! If you’re in Downtown Fresno, bring the bikes and ride around the newly renovated Fulton Street and see what all the buzz is about, then park at the game for some yummy peanuts and cracker jacks! No better way to spend a Saturday and time with loved ones.
